Last night I met with a couple illustrator friends to chat and draw over beer and coffee. Here is my favorite sketch from last night. Enjoy...
Have a great weekend

New Work - Bandit King
This week is TCAF and I got in a drawing mood (a side effect from the Drink and Draw event on Wednesday night). I have also been working on a really fun children's publishing project with Scholastic Canada, but after a week of drawing happy children I felt like a going slightly more grown up for my free time drawing (just to switch it up a bit). Plus, I've been wanting to draw this guy for a while.
I am currently playing around with a short story for this character and I will keep you posted on it's progress.
Have a great weekend and if you are in Toronto be sure to check out TCAF, there are a bunch of really talented folks showing some amazing work.

New Web Comic - The Humbling Universe (Repost)
So while working on a blog post today I accidentally deleted the previous post of last week's web comic, so here it is again.
Feel free to comment and let me know if you like it.
The response last week was good so I think I'll get started on some more.

Wolverine VS Cyber-Chewbacca
So today Patton Oswalt, one of my favorite comedians, posted a scene
that was shot while on the set of Parks and Recreation (one of my
favorite shows). During this scene he goes on a near 10min filibuster
rant about his pitch for the new Star Wars, a synopsis containing a...
you know what, just watch it and we'll continue...
Ok, so now you understand why I drew a picture of Wolverine fighting a Cyborg Chewbacca.
Thank you Patton for the inspiration and a great laugh this afternoon.
Hope you enjoy it.

New Work - Demon Camper
A few weeks ago I did a sample render for some production art on a horror movie. Unfortunately my approach was not what they were looking for (fair enough) but I was happy with it so I thought I'd share it with you.
I was basically going for a creepy, backwoods, black magic, demon camper.
Stylistically, it is probably more appropriate for a more whimsical project, like a video game...
Speaking of video games, I might have something fun to show you soon.

Morning Sketches - Entertainment Weekly
I was just looking for some reference and had a copy of Entertainment Weekly kicking around (proximity was the deciding factor).
I think I had some success, maybe not so much with Leno.

Until next time
